Terms

DropMeThere is run by Joshua Mendella, an individual based in Italy (details under Contact). By creating an account or buying, you agree to these terms.

What we sell

• Venues are released in drops. Unlocking a venue buys you one numbered copy of it, with a set of AI-generated photos included. An unlocked venue stays yours: you can make new shoots there after the drop closes.
• Photo packs add more images. They can be spent at any venue you have unlocked and expire 12 months after purchase.
• Prices are shown in full before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe.

Your photos

• You must be 18 or over.
• Upload only photos of yourself. Never photos of anyone else, including public figures and anyone under 18.
• Do not use the images to deceive, harass or defame anyone, or to pass them off as real photographs in a way that harms others.
• Every image is generated by AI from your selfies. It shows you at a real place, but you were not photographed there. You may use your images for personal purposes, including posting them.

Venues

• Venues are real places, shown with the permission of those that have given it. Being able to make a photo at a venue does not mean the venue endorses it, you, or us, unless we say a collaboration exists.
• A venue may ask us to remove it, and we do so quickly.

The rest

• We may close an account that breaks these terms. Anything you paid for and did not receive is refunded.
• These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep every protection the law of your country gives you, and nothing here limits your statutory rights.

Privacy

What we hold, and why

• Your email address and password login: to run your account and send you your shoots.
• Your selfies: to make your images. We keep your selfies with your shoot so you can order more poses from it later, and you can delete them from My venues at any time. Our AI provider also receives them to make the images, and deletes its copy within about 3 days.
• The images we make for you, and which venues you unlocked: so you can see and download them.
• Your purchases: amounts, dates and Stripe's payment reference, kept as tax and accounting law requires. We never see your card number.
• The time you gave consent, and the version of these terms you gave it under.

The legal bases are the contract with you (account, shoots, purchases), your consent (your selfies) and our legal obligations (payment records).

Who else handles it

• Supabase: our database, login and file storage.
• Vercel: hosts the website.
• kie.ai: our AI image provider. It receives your selfies to make the images, and deletes its copy within about 3 days.
• Google (Gemini): checks the quality of finished images. It receives the images, not your selfies.
• Resend: sends our emails.
• Stripe: takes payments.

Some of these process data outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards the GDPR requires. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

How long

• Our copy of your selfies is private. Nothing links to them.
• Selfies stay with their shoot until you delete them, the shoot fails, or you delete your account.
• Images stay until you delete your account.
• Deleting your account deletes your photos and selfies, not just the link to them. An anonymous record that a shoot happened, at which venue and when, stays, and so do payment records the law makes us keep.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, a restriction of its use, or to take it elsewhere, and you can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your selfies. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it) or the one where you live.

Refunds

• Unlocks and photo packs are digital content, delivered as soon as you pay. Normally you could cancel an online purchase within 14 days. At checkout you are asked to confirm: “I want my purchase delivered straight away, and I understand that I lose my 14-day right to cancel once it is.” You cannot buy without it, and your Stripe receipt confirms it.
• If a shoot fails, the images it would have used go back to your balance automatically.
• If a finished image is visibly broken, write to support@dropmethere.com and we will replace or refund it.
• If you paid for a venue that sold out before your payment arrived, that part of your payment is refunded to your card.
• Your legal rights if something you bought does not work as described are not affected.
